Comprehensive Endocrine Surgery Fellowship
The American Association of Endocrine Surgeons is sponsoring the 2026 match for a comprehensive clinical fellowship in Endocrine Surgery starting August 1, 2027.

Endocrine Surgery Fellowship training requires adequate previous training in general surgery. Therefore, fellowships will follow the completion of an accredited general surgery residency program in the United States or equivalent general surgery training outside the United States. The candidate must be board-certified or board-eligible by the ABS or by the equivalent certification board if training is completed outside of the United States or Canada.

Fellowship interviews for any and all AAES accredited fellowship positions through the 2026 Match must be in the virtual format. In-person interviews, hybrid interviews, or secondary interviews after a virtual interview are prohibited.

2026 Match Timeline

Wednesday, February 11, 2026: Online application site opens.
Sunday, April 19, 2026: Online application site closes.
Monday, July 06, 2026: Online ranking site opens for Applicants and Programs at 9:00 AM CDT.
Monday, July 13, 2026: Ranks due by 11:59 PM PDT.
Friday, July 17, 2026: Any unmatched programs will be notified by 5:00 PM CDT. They will be provided with a list of unmatched candidates and their CVs. (Unmatched programs are NOT to reach out to applicants until Monday at Noon CDT).
Sunday, July 19, 2026: Unmatched programs who want to participate in a secondary match must notify the Fellowship Chair or Designee before Noon CDT.
Monday, July 20, 2026: Unmatched candidates will be notified via email at 9:00 AM CDT. If unmatched programs choose to participate in a secondary match the programs and candidates will be allowed to contact each other to fill any available fellowship position at Noon CDT.
Tuesday, July 21, 2026: Secondary match site opens at Noon CDT.
Wednesday, July 22, 2026: If there is no secondary match required, match results will be announced to Program Directors.
Thursday, July 23, 2026: If no secondary match required, match results will be announced to Applicants.
Tuesday, July 28, 2026: Secondary match site closes at Noon CDT.
Thursday, July 30, 2026: If secondary match is required, overall Match results announced to Program Directors.
Friday, July 31, 2026: If secondary match is required, overall Match results announced to Applicants.
